The Back-Up app has been developed by GGz institutions GGzE and Mondrian. Back-Up is intended as a buddy - hence the referral of the name - that provides patients with a lot of visual and film material with information about every step of the treatment.

The patient receives answers to questions such as "what does it look like?", "What am I going to do?", "What should I take with me?" And "Who is my counselor?" The institutions want to reduce the uncertainty and unfamiliarity with regard to treatment within mental health.

In addition to information, Back-Up provides a diary, an agenda and a signaling plan (with tips to better deal with difficult moments for the patient). The therapist can recommend other useful apps for the patient via Back-Up. The application gives the patient more control and control over his recovery process.
